About Us

Michael's Furniture is a fourth-generation, family owned store that first opened in 1927. The store has been located at 7700 Woodman Avenue in Van Nuys since 1961.

We are able to offer such great values to our customers because of our low overhead. This enables us to offer the lowest prices in town!

Our warehouse is one city block long and is "loaded" with furniture for your every need. Sofas, sectionals, dinettes, dining rooms, bedroom sets, mattresses, futons and coffee tables all are displayed in our show rooms. We also offer a large selection of children and youth bedroom furniture.

Community Involvement

At Michael's Furniture, we firmly believe in giving back to the community! As a merchant in Los Angeles for over 40 years, we feel it is our duty and pleasure to be involved and help as often as we can.

LAPD: Michael's Furniture sponsors various events in conjunction with the San Fernando Valley Police Department including sponsoring their annual golf tournament with proceeds keeping youth off the street.
Mid Valley Youth Center: Michael’s is an annual sponsor of the golf tournament for this center, which houses troubled youth. We also provide furniture for their facility.
Grossman Burn Center/Fire Fighter's Quest: This is a non-profit organization that aids in the recovery of burned victims. Michael's Furniture is recognized as an annual sponsor to their annual auction, their largest fund raising campaign.
Cri-Help: This is a sober living home to which Michael's donates bunk beds and mattresses for their recovery center.
Furniture/Today: Recently named to the “Beyond the Top 100” list of independent retailers to watch by Furniture Today, our industry’s largest trade magazine.

We also support The Grossman Burn Center, LA Family Housing, People in Progress, City of Hope, and more. We do this NOT FOR FAME OR FORTUNE, but because we live here, too. Our family believes being involved is the right thing to do.
